About SpeedScout16

English

FRC scouting made easy!

SpeedScout16 is a scouting app used in the FRC qualification matches to scout each robot's capabilities. It is a simple, fast, and easy scouting solution that can be utilized by many FRC teams. It requires no logins, passwords, or training. It enables you to effortlessly track robot capabilities pertaining to the 2016 FRC season.

Unlike any other scouting app available, SpeedScout stores all scouting data locally on the device using it. When ready, one can easily send this data to a computer as a collection of CSV files that could then be analyzed using statistical software.

The app is fully open-source and is available at http://github.com/dkt01/SpeedScout16-Android. For an example of how to collect scouting emails, see https://github.com/dkt01/SpeedScoutParser.

This app was originally developed by Jacob Steineke of FRC 3944 and has been ported for cross-platform scouting teams by David Turner of FRC 1756. Good luck to all teams!

If you encounter any problems, please contact me or file a bug report at https://github.com/dkt01/SpeedScout16-Android/issues.
