Lost Liners

Lost liners of the 20th century.

My interest in liners and wrecks probably began when I read Walter Lord's A Night to Remember and saw the movie a few years later. As a child I spent hours reading Edward Rowe Snow's books about the ships that came to a sad end along the rocky coast of New England. In the sixties I spent summers in Gloucester, MA and would visit the Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial with its inscription of bronze which reads: "They That Go Down To The Sea In Ships 1623-1923". I built this app as something of an homage to these ships and their stories.
