What is a motion optical illusion?

A motion optical illusion is the erroneous perception of reality, or in other words : an image that's not really moving, appears to be moving.

This app contains some really cool and amazing motion optical illusions that can make some people dizzy, sea sick or nauseous. They give people motion sickness because they trick the brain into believing there is movement where there shouldn’t be, and as the brain tries to re-orient, it actually causes more disorientation.
