It is a work management app. It can be used by anyone, who works in a team.

This app is an attempt to reduce the overheads of co-ordinations, tracking & planning of work items & efforts.

It is a very simple app which lets any designated managerial person to create a work item. With this app, that work item can be allocated to any of his / her subordinate based on their availability.

In a normal work environment, anyone, managing the work items, usually have some subordinates working with them.

In this app we have designated ,anyone who is allocating work as a 'Manager' & anyone who is expected to deliver the work as an 'Executor'.

Alongside, with their daily operational duties, managers are responsible to oversee work items allocated to executors.

Overseeing ,executor duties involves sparing off time for their own work items. Most of the times, manager is responsible for establishing more than 1 work item in the executor's work pipeline.

To simplify, this overall structure of work management,this app primarily revolves around the workflow.

Workflow of work item is composed of various stages like - 'Created', 'Allocated',' Accepted', 'Rejected', 'In-Progress', 'Blocked', 'Closed' & 'Completed'.

Anyone ,who is managing the work item as in the 'Manager' or who is executing the work item , the'Executor' both have some role to perform at the stages listed above.

Activities, around these stages involve real time messaging between these role players. Therefore ,it is perceived that the work items run in a continuous marathon like process.

At times, giving precise updates or explaining progression of work items becomes tedious. As individuals, have to dig through communication logs it becomes an additional effort.

This app will greatly help those individuals, in easing out the progression of work items.

So ,provision of status updates , collection & deciphering the outcomes are going to be simpler with the updates recorded by this app.

This app ,being run on a handheld device, it will naturally provide ease to anyone & everyone who is going to operate it.

Be it, you are in public transport or at some restaurant; you just to connect your device to the internet & you are free from the drudgery of performing management updates.

Management efforts of someone who is allocating & tracking work items is greatly reduced when this app itself will help identify the subordinates; who are allocated at the least.

Before ,the work item is allocated from the manager, the estimation of efforts will be done; as in about.. availability of efforts from the executors..how much are available and how much efforts are remaining or vacant ,till a particular date or due date.

So, if anyone has already crossed the capacity for allocation of work items, they are further not allocated any more.

Similarly, is true for the converse; if an executor is looking forward for a leave; he or she is discouraged from applying for leave, if their work allocation has reached the optimum capacity.

In this scenario, the executor has an option to quickly turnaround existing work items or estimating lesser hours for allocated work items, thus making room for their future leave.

CONCLUSION..

Managerial judgement of work allocation, leave acceptance is going to be greatly simplified with the help of this app.

There would be lesser reliance on the ability of managers to negotiate, influence on such factors to make judgements. This app is going to quantify such information in real time and less human interference and judgement will be there in general.

For any completed work item, as managers would have historical information,this would help setting realistic targets to executors about the work item timelines.

Performance will improve at large as members in the team will get motivated to do quicker than what managers have estimated. Hence, efficient work force culture will foster growth and development.
