What is 'Where R U Now' ?

- Where R U Now is an easy-to-use app that locates a person who has given you permission to find them.

- Once you have installed the app from the Google Play Store and completed the simple Registration process (just your Name and Mobile Number are required), you can invite friends or family to link with you. The invites can be generated from your phone's Contacts or by manually entering their Name and Mobile Number.

- When you send an Invite to a friend, they will receive an SMS Text inviting them to install Where R U Now. As soon as they have registered, they will see your Invite and can choose to Allow or Deny the request.

- VERY IMPORTANT. Please be completely assured that this app is NOT spyware. You can only track a friend's location after they have given their permission and this permission can be turned off at any time with immediate effect.

- When your Invite has been accepted, you use the Locate tab to send location requests and the magic of Google's latest tracking technology will display a map with your friend's current location.

- That's all there is to it!

Why yet another Location Tracking app?

- Where R U Now has come about because we wanted a Location Finder that:

1. Does not have loads of intrusive, annoying adverts.

2. Does not require a Ph.D. to set up and use.

3. Does not drain the phone battery in rapid time.

4. Does not require extensive use of SMS to get messages to and from phones.

5. Actually works!

- After trying and failing to find an app that meets all of the above requirements, we decided to write our own.

- Having described our rationale for developing Where R U Now, it's only fair to highlight what it is not:

1. Where R U Now is not full of fancy graphics.

2. Where R U Now does not have clever functions like messaging and alarms.

3. The Where R U Now phone app will not give you a history of a person's movements (although the associated Where R U Now website can do this).

So, in summary, if you want an app that is easy to configure and can then actually find people, then you may be pleasantly surprised with how good Where Are U Now fits the bill. Remember when Google first appeared? Minimal clutter on the page, but it did what was required extremely well. This has been the design objective with Where Are U Now.
