Giới thiệu về Zoopunk
Zoopunk is a third-person action RPG developed by TiGames, serving as a prequel to the acclaimed Metroidvania title F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch. Set decades before the events of the original game, Zoopunk expands the beloved Animal Punk universe by chronicling the turbulent origins of Torch City, an animal metropolis on the brink of revolution.
The Dawn of the First Torch War
In Zoopunk, players witness the dawn of the First Torch War, when the discovery of the fire seed energy—also known as the Spark—sparks an age of rapid technological progress and catastrophic conflict. This mysterious power source accelerates Torch City's industrial growth at a pace its builders cannot control, ultimately awakening discarded mechanical debris into self-aware, unstoppable war machines.
Initially created to harness energy, these machines soon adopt violence from their creators, turning against the animals and establishing a mechanical empire bent on domination. With the city in chaos, animals from rival factions must unite to resist this overwhelming force. The primary conflict forces previously divided animal groups to set aside their differences and fight for survival against this new, overwhelming mechanical threat.
Playable Heroes and Combat System
Zoopunk features a diverse cast of animal heroes, each with distinct combat styles and abilities. Three playable characters have been introduced so far:
Rayton the Rabbit specializes in fast melee attacks and aerial combos. Building energy through those attacks allows him to follow up with electrically charged moves, making him ideal for players who prefer agile, combo-based combat.
Braton the Rhino is the heavy hitter of the group. Armed with a massive chainsaw, he combines close-range attacks with defensive abilities that allow him to withstand enemy pressure, perfect for players who enjoy tank-style gameplay.
Trixie the Chipmunk fights with considerably more mobility, using acrobatics, firearms, and hit-and-run attacks. Her combat also incorporates ammunition management, appealing to players who favor ranged combat and tactical positioning.
The game blends diesel-punk aesthetics with Eastern influences, creating a unique visual style that sets it apart from other action RPGs. Players will cycle through exploring war-torn landscapes, engaging in combat against the mechanical empire, and upgrading their team of anthropomorphic animal heroes.
A Deeper Conflict
While the Machine Legion has emerged as a major enemy force, the struggle in Zoopunk is more complicated than a simple war between animals and machines. Rival animal factions, shifting alliances, and different understandings of life, consciousness, and the soul all contribute to a deeper conflict. The narrative explores themes of survival, memory, and awakening in a world where heartbeats are replaced by gears and reason is intertwined with primal instinct.
Players take on the role of one of the Animal Folk as they set off on a quest to hunt down the enigmatic Spark before the mechanical empire's grip on Torch City becomes permanent. The game takes place in a world ravaged by conflict, where the main characters seek revenge for the destruction of their homes, free their fellow creatures from slavery, and save civilization from total annihilation.
