APS 2016

The American Psychosomatic Society is a worldwide community of scholars and clinicians dedicated to the scientific understanding of the interaction of mind, brain, body and social context in promoting health. The organization is devoted to biopsychosocial research and integrated clinical care, and to providing a forum via its Annual Meeting for sharing this research.

The APS Annual Meeting is an open scientific and clinical forum where over 500 investigators and clinicians from allied disciplines communicate, pool their knowledge, consider problems of conceptual relationships, and develop ideas that will stimulate further research. The three-day meeting begins on a Thursday, and is devoted to the presentation of scientific papers, symposia, poster sessions, invited lectures and addresses. Didactic half-day workshops are offered the day before the meeting begins, and roundtable luncheon discussions, mentoring programs and wellness sessions are an important part of the meeting, which concludes with an annual banquet in Saturday evening.

The theme for the 2016 Annual Meeting is “Translating Research into Practice: From Bench to Policy” and it will be held from March 9 through 12 at the Westin Downtown in in Denver, Colorado.
