Enjoy millions of the latest Android apps, games, music, movies, TV, books, magazines & more. Anytime, anywhere, across your devices.

EARLY ALPHA VERSION! Crude. With lot's of missing stuff. Hard to use. Little documentation. Not for the faint of heart. If you dare to install it please read the instructions bellow for a happier life. :-)

This app provides a way to transmit messages to someone through vibrations of his mobile phone, possibly to cheat in exams or any other use you can think of where aural or visual transmission of messages is out of the question.

------------

Short guide

------------

1. Open the app on your phone.

2. Pick an ID. Something easy to remember but not too common for someone else to guess. Like "chupacabra". Type that ID in the ID field.

3. In a few seconds the link below the ID will refresh. Type that link into your computer browser.

4. Make sure your mobile has an active internet connection.

5. On your computer you should see a field that accepts 160 characters of text. Type something into it and click "submit".

6. In less than 10 seconds your mobile phone will receive the message and will start vibrating out the characters one by one.

7. When done press the back button on your phone to close the app cause it drains quite some battery and bandwidth

8. Email me or add me to Gtalk and tell me what'd you think or what suggestions you have. My email is inshame@gmail.com

---------

The code

---------

I could use morse code for the transmission but few people understand it and it takes months of practice to learn morse code. For that reason I made my own code which can be taught in less than an hour.

Let's see how this code works.

The mobile phone has two kinds of vibrations: a short one (currently equal to 0.1 seconds) and a long one (0.3 seconds). The short one is an "empty square" and the long one is a "full square". Keep that in mind at all times.

Each character is composed of 9 vibrations. For example A is ░█░████░█ where █ is a long vibration (full square) and ░ is a short vibration (empty square). Now even though ░█░████░█ doesn't make sense that way it will be easily be decodable into an A if you break it up in triplets and put each triplet in one line:

░█░████░█ becomes:

░█░

███

█░█

See how it resembles an upper case A now?

So the idea is first to convert all characters into a 3x3 representation and then convert that representation to some kind of morse code made up by long vibrations for "full squares" and short vibrations for "empty squares".

You can download and install a font that contains all possible characters in their 3x3 representation from here: http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/677821

Or you can start sending messages to the app and apart from vibrating them out it will also display them in their 3x3 form too.

Here is a full reference of all characters:
