Vasind is the first manufacturing facility carries the legacy of one of the most illustrative Steel Company of the World, JSW Steel, a 11 billion dollor conglomerate (Part of OP Jindal group). The journey of the JSW group has started since 1982 with a sober beginning in putting up a Cold Rolling Mill at Vasind, which subsequently transformed into a full-fledged complex with Cold Rolling, Galvanizing, Galvalume and Colour Coating facilities. JSW Steel Coated Products is a largest Exporter of Coated Steel of the country having a significant presence in the geography of USA, Europe, Africa, Northern South America and Middle East.

To ensure the strategic sales deployment, the planning on production in various range of products are done catering to the demands strategic to those manufacturing facilities. Kalmeshwar plant caters to the Domestic Market, in Central India in view of its locational advantage where as Tarapur and Vasind cater to Export market in view of its strategic positioning and connectivity with the ports.
