The reaction time test is a simple, non-invasive method of measuring a person’s reaction time. There are many reaction tests on the internet that you can use for this purpose. However, only a few provide accurate results.
In reaction speed testing the participant presses a button as soon as he notices something happening on the screen of his monitor (e.g., the appearance of a stimulus).
A reaction time will usually not be faster than 200 ms if no distraction effect occurs. The average reaction times decrease with increasing age but the speed depends also on other factors such as fatigue and concentration level.
