Brian May (guitarist), Freddie Mercury (vocal), John Deacon (bass), and Roger Taylor (drums) founded Queen's legendary group in London in 1970. 3 years after being formed, the group managed to release their first album QUEEN. Although this album received much praise from music critics, but the sales figures are not quite satisfactory.

Their second album QUEEN II was lifted by the single Seven Seas of Rhye and made it into the top five British Album Charts. But sales outside the UK are still keteteran and not much different from their first album.

Finally success came also approached them as the release of their 3rd album SHEER HEART ATTACK. The album was ranked 2nd in the UK and penetrated the United States with satisfactory sales.

A NIGHT AT THE OPERA album released in 1975 received 3 platinum in the United States. One of the songs in it eventually became their masterpiece. Bohemian Rhapsody has been voted the best song of all time.

The group that never changed personnel during their active period ended up having to end their success with the death of Freddie Mercury in late 1991. The remaining personnel decided that Queen would not seek a replacement for the vocalist again which meant that the Queen was over. Although rumors had circulated that they would rejoin the vocalist Paul Rodgers as a substitute for Freddie, but it seems that this rumor has not been proven until now.

The last lineup of Queen recorded only the names of Brian May and Roger Taylor just since John Deacon decided to retire from the music world. Queen has performed several times live under the name Queen + Paul Rodgers despite never releasing studio album so far..
