 - Salat (Arabic: صلاة صلوات [salat]) or namaz means Islamic prayer, the second of the five pillars of Islam. Every Muslim is required to perform five obligatory daily prayers (farâ'idh), turned towards the qibla, which is the direction of the Ka'ba of Mecca.
