Abdur Rahman(r.a.) is one among the ten people who is assured of entering paradise. When he accepted Islam, the Prophet(s.a.w.)gave him the name Abdur- Rahman. Abdur Rahman(r.a.) was an early acceptor of Islam but he too suffered under the Quraysh* as all the other Muslims did. He migrated from Makkah to Abyssinia.
