Permissions explained:

READ_PHONE_STATE: Is only used to stop the playback if you get a call. (sadly needed, see http://bit.ly/RzJkvu and http://bit.ly/Uldxyu)

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Is used to determine if you have Internet or if you are on e.g roaming.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Is used to determine if you have WiFi or not and to prevent that WiFi accidently shuts off.

WAKE_LOCK: To prevent that your phone go to sleep mode and the stream start stuttering.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Is needed to write the backup files to your sdcard.
