An augmented reality experience for the exhibition

Bring to life five paintings created around an early French expedition to the southern continent. Nicolas Baudin’s expedition, lavishly funded by Napoleon Bonaparte, returned to France with more than 100,000 plant and animal specimens and more than 1500 original paintings and drawings.

Look for the eye icon in the exhibition and point your camera at the creature in the artwork. You can also point it at the spotfin porcupinefish on the back cover of the exhibition catalogue, or postcard.
