HISTORY OF DARLING HARBOUR

How did Darling Harbour come to life, how has it grown up and what was here before? From the Gadigal people, the original inhabitants of Sydney Cove, to a time of great industry, Darling Harbour has a thousand stories to tell.

SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE.

It is the world's largest (but not the longest) steel arch bridge with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour. It is fondly known by the locals as the 'Coathanger' because of its arch-based design.

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

Sydney Opera House presents over 450 exciting performances that take place at the venue every year.

TARANGO ZOO

Taronga Zoo It is just 12 minutes from the city by ferry, with breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and free shows and keeper talks.
