Stretch: Stretched Screen +FPS

PC shooter players stretch their screen because enemies look wider and are easier to hit. Stretch does that on your phone, plus two more things that make the game run smoother.

First, the warning that matters: whether your screen really stretches depends on your phone's manufacturer, not on the app. On some phones it stretches. On others you just get black bars on the sides and nothing gets wider. The app has a test that measures your phone in a second and tells you which one you have. No sugar-coating, and no promise it cannot keep.

WHAT THE APP DOES

Stretch screen

Changes the shape of the screen so enemies look wider. The app shows you side by side how it will look, with the same crosshair on both, so you see the difference before you apply anything.

More FPS

Lowers the resolution the phone draws at, keeping the same screen shape. Fewer pixels per frame means less work on every frame, and that spare work is what turns into extra frames per second. This adds no black bars and works on any phone, including the ones that do not stretch. The app shows the arithmetic: how many pixels per frame now, and how many after. How much you gain depends on the game.

Button size (DPI)

Changes the screen DPI, which is what decides how big the game's menus and buttons look. You can move it between half and double the factory DPI, and go back to the original with a tap, without touching the resolution.

Test your phone

Applies a squarer screen for a couple of seconds, asks the system where it put the image, and restores on its own. The screen turns off and on once during the test. The result is measured on your device, not guessed from the brand.

Unresponsive edges

When you stretch, the edges of the screen stop feeling your fingers. The app works out how many pixels that is, and can paint a marker over your game so you can see exactly where touch stops working and move the game's buttons inward. Painting that marker needs one more permission, which the app asks for when you turn it on.

Back to normal

One button puts everything back. And after you apply, the app asks whether touch still works: if you do not answer, it undoes itself.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The app needs Shizuku, which is free and on the Play Store. Android will not let an app change your screen on its own, and Shizuku is what grants that permission. You install it and turn it on once.

No root required.

The app changes your phone's display settings. It does not touch, modify or inject anything into any game. Check the rules of the games you play.

When you apply and when you go back, the screen turns off and on for a second. It has to: without that, your phone stops responding where you touch.

In short: change the resolution, set the DPI and control your display from a single app, no root.
