The biggest leap awards the modernity and development of the Chhattisgarh region was the establishment of Bhilai Steel Plant at Bhilai. This single step provided to be a key factor in the transformation of agrarian society in to a thriving industrial region. Bhilai city of Chhattisgarh is well known not only for its gigantic industrial base but also for a very high standard of eduation. There are plenty of good schools catering of the needs of the students. However, it is not the same case for the collegiate and professional education. This is the Eason why a large number of students of Bhilai had to go to other places for higher education. With the above in view, some organizations, industrialists, charitable institutions and philanthropic societies of the reason took an initiative for establishing educational institution and that resulted in the formation of Bhilai Institute of Technology Trust under whose aegis, in July 1986 Bhilai Institute of Technology come in to existence. This society strives for providing quality education suitably blended with the ethos of utmost ancient culture of the world. It aims at inculcating the values of good conduct and morality that are fast eroding due to materialistic view of life. Shri Gangajali Education Society...proposes to provide the avenues for importing professional knowledge in the field of Commerce, Management, Science and Humanities and other areas of modern professismal world. The Management of this college is also Managing Sfiri Sankaracharya College of Engineering & Technology, Shri Shankaracharya College of Management 8c Technology, Shri Shankaracharya College of Nursing, Swami Swaroopanand Institute of Education & Shri Shankaracharya Vidyalaya, an English medium school affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. Shri Shankaracharya College of Engg. & Tech. offers both under graduate and post graduate courses in Enginering and post graduate in MCA, Shri Shankaracharya College of Management and Technology offers its students a two year full time Management Programme. (MBA) Shri Shankaracharya Vidyalaya runs classes from nursery to class XII and has a strength of 1500 students.
