Breathing lamp to help you fall asleep

Place your phone on your bedside table.

Your phone will project a calming light in your room.

Inhale as the light becomes brighter.

Exhale as the light becomes darker.

Sleep App gradually takes you from 11 to 6 breaths per minute (bpm). A regular rhythm, where breathing out longer than breathing in leads to a feeling of fatigue.

Breathing is the only part of the autonomic nervous system that can be consciously controlled. By keeping the regular rhythm of 6bpm long enough, you will trigger the baroreflex, a physiological mechanism, which will rebalance the autonomic nervous system at the origin of your insomnia.
