About Sign Language For Beginners

English

The app can be used offline

Sign Language is a language that prioritizes manual communication, body language, and lip movement, rather than voice, to communicate. The Deaf are the main groups that use this language, usually by combining hand shape, orientation and gestures, arms, and body, and facial expressions to express their thoughts.

Contrary to the opinion of many, in fact there is no successful international sign language. Unique sign language in its type in every country. Sign language may be different in countries that speak the same language. For example, the United States and Britain, despite having the same written language, have a completely different sign language (American Sign Language and British Sign Language). The opposite is true. There are countries that have different written languages (eg English with Spanish), but use the same sign language.

For Indonesia, there is a sign language called Sign Language Indonesia (BISINDO) where its development is supported by one of the donor agencies from Japan involving Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Indonesia. For the Indonesian Signal System (SIBI) is a signaling system (not sign language) made by people who listen without the Deaf people in extraordinary education.
