About Us:

The S.B.O.A Matric. &Hr.Sec.School is recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The School was started in June 1985. To start with the total strength of the school in terms of Student was 453. First set of X passed out in the year 1988 and the First set of XII passed out in the year 1990. To begin the Journey the School had functioned from a make shift thatched building very crude and raw.

Last Year our school had a strength of 4283 Students with 181 staff on its roll. The school is co-educational and the medium of instruction is English.The School has made remarkable strides in terms of physical growth, academic excellence and personality building.

A Small Step in the Right Direction…

Alumni association was formed in the year 2013, but the efforts started from the year 2012 through the initiation of Secretary & Correspondent Mr. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev, Correspondent Mr. G. Selvaraj, Principal Mrs. Geetha Gopinath, Vice- Principal Mr. Christopher Dhanabal and a few alumni in likes of T. Badrinath (1991), Neelayadakshni Krishna (1991), Srikanth Ramanathan (1991), Lalchand Mainani (1994) etc…

Alumini works 24X 7 for the mutual benefit of all concerned. On completing your course you join our alumni, giving you the chance to make continuous connections at a genuinely international level.

The Alumni Association of SBIOA Coimbatore is the first to launch a website and I am sure, the others will follow soon.

The Alumni of Coimbatore are involving themselves in the development of the school with innovative ideas , sharing of experiences with the present day students and by encouraging the institution . Dr.Arun Raza , an alumni of Coimbatore recently helped the educational Trust to set up Video Conference between all schools without any expenditure. Mr. Ramesh Kumar an Alumni of SBIOA Junior college, Chennai arranged an excellent motivation lecture for the students of Chennai by Guiness Record Holder on innovative methods of value education, Shri. Rajesh Fernando which really transformed many students.

The technology today has changed the environment of education. The aim of SBIOA is to create a mark by setting up “ SBIOA Model of Teaching “ which will aim at overall development and social concern for an equitable society .
