Poborina Folk App, Root Music Festival of El Pobo (Teruel)

This is the official APP of Poborina Folk, the Root Music Festival of El Pobo (Teruel), which is held every June, on the weekend closest to the night of San Juan. The dates of the 23rd edition are June 23, 24 and 25, 2023.

Poborina Folk APP offers an electronic source of information about the festival. This will allow the user to organize the weekend, follow their favorite artists, and stay informed about all the relevant information about the festival.

Those who attend the Poborina Folk will find parties, good music, percussion workshops, hiking trails, traditional games, and a particularly good atmosphere. The festival, which is held at 1,400 meters above sea level, combines the most respected artists from the folk scene and World Music to convey the pleasure of culture and tradition in a pleasant and different environment.

SIGN

The poster shows the list of events that will be held during the three days. Here the most important information in relation to each event will be displayed, such as when and where the event will be held. Selecting the arrow that accompanies each event will show more detailed information on that event if required.

DETAILED INFORMATION

When the user selects the arrow provided for each event, it responds by showing more detailed information about the selected event.

MAP

The map provided by the app can be very useful for first-time festival goers unfamiliar with the area. The app offers a detailed map of El Pobo and the area where the festival is held. Several markers are distributed by the most important points and allow the user to locate and find out about different points of interest, whether it is about scenarios, camping areas, taverns, pharmacies, health centers, etc. selecting each marker allows the user to obtain more information about a specific point if required.

The “Where am I?” button at the top right allows the user to locate their own location on the map, which will allow the user to find the desired point in the festival more easily. If the user is not in El Pobo yet, the app offers the option of drawing the best route to get to the festival. The “Where am I?” button becomes "How to get there?".

AUDIO PLAYER

The app shows a summary list of some of the groups that will perform at the 17th edition, and allows the user to play different songs, offering a preview of what will be heard at the festival. The audio will be stopped by pressing the pause button and you will resume the audio by pressing the play button.

INFO

This option can be very useful in an emergency. This displays information about different phone numbers and their respective locations. The “Call” button allows the user to make a call quickly in an emergency without having to type each number or search the phone book, which would speed up the process, saving the user time.

CAMERA

The application offers the possibility of capturing an image through the "Ardachéate" option and positions the logo of the festival, the ardachus, in a corner of the image after having taken it, giving the user the possibility of sharing it on social networks, via email, SMS, etc. in a much more fun way.

In short, Poborina Folk app has been developed with the intention of being a complete guide and source of information for everything related to the festival.

GAME

A game of questions in which different words will appear, typical of Teruel, and you will have to choose the correct meaning among three possible answers, at the end you will be given the result based on your percentage of correct answers and errors, and thus you will be able to check how you are doing in this give life to that endangered vocabulary.
