SnApp for APPs

A tool that makes it easy for an APP to demonstrate their full value!

Over the course of 2 years, the Chief Innovation Officer of a major medical university (who is also a practicing surgeon) did extensive research into the topic of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and their work. Realizing that much of their valuable contributions are frequently un-documented, he set out to find a solution. SnApp is that solution.

Documenting a patient encounter can be very difficult. Knowing who to bill, what codes to use, how much to bill, and who is the correct provider can be very complex! The likelihood of making a mistake frequently means it is easier to just forego submitting a bill altogether! The end result is either significant loss of employer revenue or misapplied billing provider.

Well, not anymore! SnApp for Advanced Practice Providers will empower the APP to be able to quickly and confidently account for her/his work performance. In less than 20 seconds per patient encounter, she/he will be able to log services that they perform. SnApp provides a billing recommendation that includes the following:

• Correct provider (APP or supervising physician)

• Billing percentage (based upon APP institution’s insurance provider agreements)

• Tax-ID for the bill

• CPT code

• Billing level

Additionally, each entry is automatically entered into a personal provider log, which allows an APP and employer institution a real-time, current way to verify just how much APPs contribute!

Finally, we realize that there is more to the job than just seeing patients; therefore, we have enabled a way to log those activities that are not tied to a specific patient, whether it is rounds, conferences, research, or other job-related activities.
