There are 1,760yards in a mile, 22yards in a Chain, 80 chains in a mile - after working for years on the UK rail network, this becomes second nature. All locations along the railway are referenced to mile posts and often distances are given in miles and chains.

So, if you are having to jump between Miles and Kilometers or even yards and chains - we can help.

This App is a simple and intuitive tool for converting between miles, kilometers, meters, yards and chains when locating assets or locations on UK Rail Infrastructure.

It helps you to convert from three different units from the UK Railway Chainage:

- Miles and Yards --> Chains, Kilometers and Meters.

- Miles and Chains --> Yards, Kilometers and Meters.

- Kilometers and Meters --> Miles, Chains and Yards.
