Aikido comes from the land of the Rising Sun, Japan. This martial art is unique because it uses circular techniques and barely uses energy to knock out opponents. If other martial arts trainees physically and mentally to be strong with hard physical training, the philosophy of Aikido training and fighting is more like Tai Chi, which is to defeat strength with tenderness.

The word Aikido is a combination of phonemes Ai, Ki, and Do. Ai means Harmony, Ki means Soul, and Do means Way or Way. So Aikido can be interpreted as a 'way for the soul to be harmonious'.

Studying Aikido is not just martial arts learning that can be used to defend against an opponent's attack, but there is an element of balance of life philosophy that can be applied by every member in everyday life. In Aikido, the 7 principles of Bushido (Jalan Samurai) are prioritized, namely sincerity, courage, virtue, appreciation, honesty, respect, and loyalty.
