Rogue Light: Interstellar is een rogue-achtige arcade-shooter waarin je een raketschip door de ruimte vliegt en asteroïden mijnt met je laserkanon. Baan je een weg naar rijkdom door je schip te upgraden en asteroïden te ontwijken om een catastrofe te voorkomen. Welke upgrades beschikbaar zijn wanneer is willekeurig, dus elke play-through is uniek.
