Based on real events, the film reveals the most striking episodes in the life of Edir Macedo, the man who faced public power, broke with Brazil's religious paradigms and became one of its greatest leaders. His childhood, youth and the search for faith, romance and marriage to Esther, the birth of daughters, the founding of his church, the audacious purchase of a television station, the persecution he suffered from public power and his arrest, in 1992, are part of a trajectory surrounded by conflicting moments, which has as its guiding threads the perseverance and the overcoming. The history of Brazil in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s is the backdrop to the film. With Petrônio Gontijo in the role of adult Edir Macedo, the production also has in the cast names such as Day Mesquita, Dalton Vigh, André Gonçalves, Eduardo Galvão, Marcelo Airoldi, Nina de Pádua and Beth Goulart. The actors José Victor Pires Enzo Barone interpret young Edir Macedo and child, respectively. Directed by: Alexandre Avancini. 125 minutes.
