Mithram is an AAC app for the community with acquired language loss in Malayalam

Mithram application is aimed at supporting people to

– function with greater independence

It can be used by anyone with communication impending disabilities like autism, muscle injury in vocals,

dysarthria, stroke, etc as well as therapists, teachers and parents who wants to bridge the communication gap with them. Use of Picture Output Communication Aid supported by Voice Output Communication Aid have shown tremendous improvements in Autistic people and greatly helpful for people with vocal problems to communicate with normal people.

The app is developed is by CDAC Thiruvananthapuram in association with The Department of Neurology, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST) focusing ALS and other communities with acquired language loss
