Learning Basic Judo Techniques

In learning Judo we must really master the basic techniques and regulations that apply. Judo Sports recognizes two words in the form of practice, namely: Kata and Randori. The word is an exercise system that includes techniques such as slamming, locking, strangling, breaking and attacking dangerous body parts. Randori is a free practice about all that is taught through the practice of the Word which is practiced in the form of attack and defense.

Judo consists of two syllables, namely JU and DO. JU means smooth or soft, while DO is the way or way. So the meaning of the word Judo is "smooth or gentle way", while jujitsu is a "smooth technique". In general, the distribution of Judo techniques, the techniques in Judo martial arts are divided into three major parts. Each part is then broken down into smaller parts. The three main techniques are:

Nange Waza (throwing technique), consists of two parts: Tachi Waza, which is a throwing technique while standing. Sutemi Waza, which is a throwing technique while flopping.

Katame Waza (bottom playing technique), consists of 3 parts: Osekomi Waza, which is the technique of locking Shime Waza, a joint fracture technique.

Atemi Waza (technique of hitting or kicking), consists of two parts: Ude Ate, which is attacking with Ashi Ate's hand, which is attacking the foot.
