MATCHA is a Web Magazine created to help people who are planning on visiting Japan.

“Passion” is the name of the game here at MATCHA. All of our articles are written by our Japanese staff to share their actual experiences with various elements of Japanese culture.

We take pride in our writers’ distinct dedication to help you learn to love what they love about Japan, and to help you get true value out of your visits around this wonderful island. This web magazine will introduce to the world what we value most about Japan.

There are many beautiful cultures in Japan, including; the food, sake, traditional handicrafts, and even many others that are not yet widely known outside of Japan. Unfortunately, much of Japanese culture is being forgotten about and even disappearing because of the modernization of Japan.

Rural areas, in particular, have been struggling to attract attention regardless of their fascinating cultures, simply because of a lack of promotional opportunities. If no one is aware of these places, how could these places survive the times? No one would know about these hidden treasures in Japan unless someone takes action.

At MATCHA, we hope to bring to light the best of our rural areas to the world. In doing so, we hope that these valuable Japanese cultures can withstand the tests of time and continue to live on for future generations.

With a firm stance that Japan consists of more than just Tokyo, MATCHA will be covering all the regions across Japan. With all of this, we hope to be able to reach our goal of one hundred million viewers on MATCHA.
