Resume of the II Iberian Congress of Biological Systematics (CISA2013) hosted by the Zoological Systematics and Evolution Research Group, the Biodiversity Research Institute (UB), the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (CSIC-UPF), the Catalan Society of Biology and the Natural History Museum of Barcelona. The Organizing and Scientific Committees have worked to offer an exciting program that combines outstanding plenary speakers, a mini-symposium on 'Cataloguing Biodversty in the 21st Century' and social activities to enhance scientific discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.
