The one-minute porcupine

Porcupine lived with his parents in a wood house near a colorful flower garden.

Porcupine was cheerful, smart and sociable, however he was dilatory.

Every morning when his mom woke him up for school, he kept rolling on his bed and begging:

- Please let me sleep for just one more minute, mom!

And that was why he was usually late for class.

At school, he was close to Squirrel the Bushy. The classmates gave her that nickname because her hair was curly like noodles.

Porcupine and Squirrel had a lot in common, they both loved watching cartoon, eating sausages and singing.

However, there were quite a few times Squirrel was mad at Porcupine because of his habit of postponing everything.

One day, Squirrel invited Porcupine to her house to hang out, watch cartoon and eat sponge cake made by Squirrel’s mom.

After class, instead of going to Squirrel’s house as he had promised, Porcupine said:

- Wait a minute, Squirrel!

And it was because he was busy playing on the slide with other friends.

Squirrel already knew Porcupine’s habit so she reminded her friend:

- I’ve got your word. I’ll wait for you in the hallway.
