Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi program addresses few important gaps in our educational system. By improving the eco system including upgrading the infrastructure; by empowering the teachers, the students and the other stakeholders; by inculcating noble ideals in the child; by creating opportunities for the children etc., this program is assuring us a noble future for our society.

The program envisages adopting 900 schools across India in the current academic year. Through this project we are targeting nearly 1.8 lakh students getting benefitted. This will indirectly reach out to nearly 3.5 lakh parents and siblings. And, most importantly, more than 25,000 volunteers, from the rural sector and the urban sector will be coming together to make all this happen – which, in all it its glory, is verily nation building.

The program not only encompasses the children and teachers, but also the families, school management, community, government and the volunteers; all of them are considered as the stake holders who can positively impact and get impacted by this program.

This program shall be spearheaded by the youth of the organisation with a special outreach program to rope in more youth in this noble nation-building mission. This program shall also provide a rare opportunity to the youth from the villages in building their own future society, helping their siblings get good education and character by assisting the volunteers from the organisation. The Seva Dal, Mahila Vibhag, Bal Vikas gurus and other active workers of the organisation will take active part to ensure its successful implementation. It’s shall be a teamwork of its kind exhibited by the organisation time and again.

The program shall be implemented in four phases namely, Energise, Empower, Equip and Evolve. Each of these phases has been designed keeping in view the working environment in the rural set up and experiences of the organization in grama seva projects for the past many years. Sri Sathya Sai Bal-vikas shall be the highlight of the program.

The program shall be implemented in the academic year 2016-17 onwards.
