Aartis also refer to the songs sung in praise of the deity, when lamps are being offered.Aarti is conducted before a murti or divine element. Aarti is derived from the Sanskrit word Aratrika, which means something that removes Ratri, darkness.

Based on scriptural details and astrological calculations, the date of Krishna's birth, known as Janmashtami, is 18 July 3228 BCE. He was born to Devaki and her husband, Vasudeva.
