About Hand Gripper: BP App

English

Simple app to guide blood pressure reducing timed hand grip exercise sessions.

Experiments have shown that sustaining a grip of about 30% of your maximum for four periods of two minutes, three or four times a week, can lower blood pressure by an average of 16% in just four weeks!

Forget about watch-watching. Configure this app and let it guide your session with audio and visual feedback, and it even shuts itself when you're done. The app has information on how and why to commit to hand grip exercises.

In the BBC's 'Trust Me. I'm a Doctor' series they used 6 of 24 participants in a hand grip experiment. The average reduction in blood pressure was a significant 16 percent decrease. The hand grip group lowered their blood pressure more than the High Intensity Training ( HIT ) groups and the moderate exercise group.

That's right. An average 16% decrease in blood pressure in four weeks!!!

This result has also been corroborated by The European Journal of Applied Physiology which found that performing handgrip exercises for 8 weeks lowered systolic blood pressure by 15 points and diastolic pressure by 5. This also beat BP reduction from aerobic exercise.

This app uses the AIR runtime to allow a small file size. Please contact me with any issues.

Happy Gripping!
