Hafs Quran Memorization Center aims to be a place where the community

Mission

Hafs Quran Memorization Center aims to be a place where the community, including children and

adults, in Peoria and the larger area is connected to the book of Allah through:

- Proper recitation

- Understanding

- Memorization

Vision

By 2017, Provide the whole Muslim family in the city of Peoria with a Friday Quran night, where:

- Brothers have tawjeed and memorization classes

- Sisters have tajweed and memorization classes

- Kids have memorization classes

History

Hafs Quran Memorization Center was founded in 2006 and held at least one regular session per

year for the past 9 years. The focus was on Juz’ 30 (Surat An-Naba’ until end of the Quran with

Surat An-Nisaa’)

Logistics:

- The center has a regular session that is held from September to mid-May every Friday from

7:00 PM – 9:15 PM. The reason it was put on a Friday night is to connect the community

with Fridays.

- The center communicates to the parents and teachers through e-mail as it was found to be

the most effective way of communication

- Fees are kept very low at $125 per student per regular session. The fees cover only the

supplies for the center as well as the prizes for the student’s graduation party
