Seriously, It's fine to care about your users and your database, but QR codes on SIGN-UP? REALLY? We get it you're concerned for User Safety, But that's just so unnecessary, it's painful to even think about. Phone verification sounds fine, although even I wouldn't use that as a verification method. You have mail verification, ****, even bot verification through a Telegram bot. But A QR CODE is all you could come up with for a verification method? Think about it like this, a bunch of friends heard word from people on the street saying that WeChat is a good chatting app. They all decide to download the app, but are met with that QR code. What if they don't know any friends that HAVE WeChat? Just look for them? This is an app to search for people to talk to, meet friends and talk to them, not to ***ert dominance. This is an app store, not the ******* bedroom. So get the s*** out of your *** and fix that bullcrap!
