GreenR, the French app that helps you take action for the planet - Declare, clean, breathe!

I'm not teaching you anything if I tell you that we have a (big) problem with waste?

Every second in the world, 63 tons of waste are produced.

Most of the time, this waste is thrown away to be recycled or incinerated. Unfortunately, it also happens that it ends up in our streets, on our beaches or in our forests. While this is a serious observation, it is not inevitable: we can change things!

- How does it work?

Faced with these wild wastes, we give ourselves the possibility to act easily and concretely. Your mission, if you accept it, is to declare each waste spot you encounter.

Plastic waste everywhere on the ground? Soda cans or beer bottles as far as the eye can see? Piled up pieces of scrap metal? Tires left on the ground?

In all these situations, the same reflex: declare the Spot on the GreenR app. Quick and easy, just take a picture and write a few words. If you can't clean the Spot, someone else can!

If like us you are motivated and ecology is important to you, you can see the nearest Waste Spot and the route to get there. You have the possibility to organize a clean up trip (a Greenwalk) with colleagues, friends or family!

Whether you want to clean up or simply declare, install GreenR and initiate the change.

- Why not pick up the trash right away?

The GreenR app was born out of a simple observation: you can't always pick up the garbage you see right away. You don't always walk around with gloves and a bag on you, the waste is sometimes too much (or too bulky) and you don't always have the time.

Declaring garbage that you can't pick up at the time will go a long way towards making it easier to pick up. We say thank you, and so does the planet.

Of course, when it's just a pack of cigarettes or a can, you don't need an app to pick it up, just a little civic-mindedness ;)

- Did you say Greenwalk?

Here we are not talking about Cleanwalk but about Greenwalk. What's the difference? Cleanwalk is usually done in the city, with strangers and in a not very precise place. Greenwalk is more local, much more user-friendly (the "aperitif-after-cleaning" feature is coming soon...) and above all more targeted because you know in advance what you're going to find!

- Who are we ?

1 motivated high school student and 1 passionate coder, both French, coming from the Lyon area and the South of France, we work tirelessly to make it easier for you to declare and clean new Spots!

- What goes on GreenR, stays on GreenR.

As far as your data is concerned, it's quite simple: we collect the waste, not the data.
