Thandas are Hamlets but they are only for Lambadi or Banjara People mostly.

A '''Thanda''' is a clustered human settlement or Residential community of Lambadies or Banjaras. Equal to hamlet but Smaller than a Village, with a population ranging in few hundreds. Often located in Rural areas (Tribal areas) with Jubdas (Huts) as Shelter, now a days everyone lives in there irrespective of Caste, religion or race

Pastly in 90's Thandas are normally Transient (Temporary Place of Living) as Lambadi People Shift from one Place to another But Know they are Settling permanently with fixed dwellings. Further, the dwellings of a Thandas are fairly close to one another, not scattered broadly over the landscape, as a dispersed settlement.
