Gentlestudent brings students and citizens in Ghent closer together.

Gentlestudent focuses on meaningful and in-depth learning and does so in constant dialogue with the students and the initiatives in the city itself. With Gentlestudent, Arteveldehogeschool provides a platform and app where the neighborhood and students can find each other.

Gentlestudent provides an application and web platform that encourages students to learn informally through a range of learning opportunities in authentic settings. These learning opportunities can be found on the basis of beacons that are available at certain locations in Ghent. Upon successful completion of these learning opportunities, students can make their acquired skills visible through the Open Badges issued by the platform.
