The application “Speech Therapy: Games and Exercises for Articulation” was created with the intention of offering a tool for speech therapists to use during the therapeutic process and also for parents or guardians to be able to practice the exercises at home, enhancing the gains of speech therapy.

It is a broad and easy-to-use tool that allows not only articulation work, but also several aspects related to language in adults and children.

Its use can be applied to cases of phonemic exchanges, but it also offers tools to professionals who can use them in phonological awareness work, auditory attention and discrimination, memory and articulatory training of simple and complex words and in sentences.

The application allows the practice of Brazilian Portuguese phonemes (B, CH, K, D, F, G, J, L, LH, M, N, NH, P, Q, R, r(soft), S, T, V, Z) including the archiphonemes (r / s) and the consonant groups in different positions in the words (initial, medial and final).

Within this, some phonemes have subdivision in level of difficulty, being level 1 for monosyllable and disyllable words and level 2 for trisyllable and polysyllable words. Thus offering greater option and focus when working on the beginning of phonemic installations working from simple words to short sentences.

An additive in this application is the possibility of increasing vocabulary and language stimulation given the large number of words offered.

"Important notes

– Despite helping to practice articulatory correction of phonemes, using this application does not replace speech therapy.

– The child should already be able to articulate the phoneme correctly in isolation, then in simple syllables. As a result, with the exercises and games offered in this app, they will be able to gradually place sound automating acquisitions in single words and in sentences.

– It is necessary that the child already has the ability to speak and develop sound correction in isolated context and syllable, otherwise it should be guided by the Speech Therapist responsible for the child.
