ABOUT BEEHIVE ROBOTRONICA

“Beehive” is an ongoing artistic research experiment developed by Ars Electronica and QUT for collecting and contextualizing video content from visitors during Robotronica 2015. In the broadest sense it is a cross-media system for crowdsourced video documentation. Beehive serves as the central metaphor: like in a society of bees, registered participants swarm out, capture footage of an event from a multitude of perspectives and return it (to the hive) to be ingested into the collective pool.
