Ek Samaj

Ek Samaj’ is a socio-religious organisation established to nurture Hinduism as an organised religion and a casteless egalitarian society with its 11 postulates which emanate from ‘Brahmajnana’. It worships the monotheistic formless Brahm as the only God. ‘Brahmajnana’ in the vernacular, is deemed the sole scripture encapsulating true essence of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagvadgita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas and the treatises authored by various saints all over India who worshipped Nirakar Brahm and Nirgun Ram. It rejects karmakand (rituals), miracles and superstitions as a mode of human intervention on behalf of God. It believes man needs no intermediary for communion with God for which ‘nishkam sewa’ is the only ordained divine path. God is the protector and redeemer of all and He always helps through right people for bestowing His beneficence, most upon those who help others selflessly. This the fundamental article of faith for joining “Ek Samaj”.

The formless Brahm is worshipped in ‘Ek Samaj’ in congregation as each member vows to adopt its ‘11 postulates’ while rejecting the ’13 excrescences’ as repugnant to the faith. It believes in and promotes Hindu Brotherhood as it celebrates the ‘annihilation of castes’ while recognising that preventing adoption of shaastra (scripture) and shastra (arms) to certain segments since the ancient past brought invidious varna hierarchies in the society. The Samaj mandates five essential social obligations of selfless service to the community in the name of the God so as to bestow a dignified life to self and future generations. It thus promises to address problems belonging to this life as well as afterlife.
