CHEO's Antimicrobial Prescribing Guidelines for Children - 2015

This app includes the Empiric Antimicrobial Choice for various Clinical Syndromes, Antimicrobial Dosing Guidelines, and Pathogen Susceptibilities from the CHEO 2013 Antibiogram.

The purpose of these guidelines is to optimize antimicrobial use and as such, provide better patient outcomes including less adverse events related to antimicrobials. These guidelines apply to previously healthy, immunized infants and children greater than one month of age with normal renal and hepatic function. These guidelines are not meant to replace clinical judgment. Each child’s response should be assessed by clinical evaluations.
