Dissolution Mod for Minecraft

Dissolution Mod is a mod aiming at completely remake the Minecraft vanilla death experience, by adding new mechanics, such as player souls and possession for example.

When you die, your soul leaves your body. In this state, you can’t interact with the world around you, nor can the world interact with you as well, although there are still some interactions that were deliberately conserved, such as the ability to flip levers and open doors (boohoo scary ghosts!). In this state, you will have to recover a body, in order to continue playing like before
