Scottish Scottish fold ( felis, English name: Scottish fold ) is a cat species that has a genetic mutation in the ear. Since the cat species was first discovered in Scotland, it was named after its discovery and physical characteristics. The cat has a kink in the cartilage, bending the ear forward and pointing to the front of the head. Also because of this, the cat suffers from a congenital orthopedic disease, often in the form of sitting posture to alleviate the pain.
