Get EMTALERT Accident Reporting old version APK for Android
App to report traffic accidents in Thailand, uploading to server for mapping.
The EMTalert app was created by the KMUTT Geospatial Engineering and InnnOvation Center (kGeo) for the Sawang Benjatham ambulance service in Samut Songkram Province. You can use the app to report basic information about traffic accidents that you see. You can then send your report to the Call1669 server, where the information will be stored in a central database. A web page currently located at http://call1669.cpe.kmutt.ac.th/emtalert allows you to view accident reports selected by date, time or geographic area.
To use EMTalert, you need a mobile phone that has GPS, Internet capabilities, and a camera. When you create a new report, your phone will automatically record the geographic location. You must take a photo of the accident (or choose a photo already stored in your phone), then enter the following information:
- Your name
- Location description: at least one of street, kilometer marker, intersection, nearby landmark
- Total number of people involved in the accident
- Number of people injured
- Number of people killed
- Count of the various types of vehicles involved (cars, pickups, vans, etc.). The app allows you to select different categories of vehicle.
- Note or comments about the accident (optional but recommended).
After you have entered this information, you can send your report to the server via wireless Internet. Alternatively, if Internet is not currently available, you can save the report on your phone and send it later. You can edit saved reports before sending them. Once a report has been sent you can (and should) delete it from your phone.
The app can switch between English and Thai languages. Please note that any reports sent from outside Thailand will be discarded rather than entered into the data base.
