About Emergency Message Repeater

English

Continually attempts sending a text message until it successfully sends.

Sometimes when you try sending a text message it may fail to send because your phone's signal is weak or the cell towers are clogged with traffic. This app helps solve that problem. If you are in an emergency situation, you can use this app to send your message to any phone number(s) in your contacts. If it fails, then it will continue making attempts until it successfully sends.

The idea for this app was born out of a conversation I had with my dad about the 2011 earthquake that shook the East Coast of the United States and Canada. My parents and I tried to send each other text messages saying that we were okay, but we were unable to send them because just about everyone on the East Coast was doing the same. This caused the cell towers to be clogged with traffic. A few days later, I talked to my dad about this problem and we came up with the idea for an app that continues trying to send until it succeeds at sending.

Known Issue(s):

-Phone numbers that have been synced via Facebook will not display because Facebook restricts access to that information.

What's New in the Latest Version 1.2.3

Last updated on Mar 25, 2018

Fixed some bugs and updated permission checking. EMR now requires the READ_PHONE_STATE permission because some devices need that permission in order to actually send a SMS message.
