Eblockwatch is the original connection from your mobile phone to your support network and your communities. In 2001 eblockwatch introduced the cell phone CommUnity button which is a speed dial number set up on cell phones to trigger alerts to support members (also known as Guardians) when eblockwatch members needed help.

Now eblockwatch is proud to bring you the CommUnity button in the new eblockwatch CommUnity app.

Your signal for help will be received by your Guardians and can trigger a ripple response through the eblockwatch community as eblockwatch members and task team mobilise to assist you.

Download the new eblockwatch CommUnity app. The app is available for Android and iPhone.

The app is both for new members of eblockwatch and for existing members.

Once you have downloaded the app you can login if you are an existing member using your registered cell phone number and same password you use on the eblockwatch website.

New members will be need to complete a quick and easy registration process. Select whether you want to be a Guardian only or if you want to Subscribe to the CommUnity button.

What’s the difference?

Option 1 Subscribing to the CommUnity button

Subscribing to the CommUnity button enables you to connect the button to four Guardians

During the registration process you will be need add four contacts from your phone to your support network in the app. These are your Guardians.

In turn you will also be able to see the names of all the people that you look after. These are the people who have put you as a contact in their own support network. You are their Guardian.

Option 2 Guardians

We have a section of the App for people are Guardians only. A Guardian is a contact that you select in the app to receive a notification when you press the CommUnity button. You need to select four guardians when you subscribe to the CommUnity button service. So some people prefer to use the app as a Guardian only. Being a Guardian is free although Guardians are encouraged to upgrade their app to include the CommUnity button service so they can benefit from being connected to this safety network.
