The Mahabharata or Mahabharata is one of the major Sanskrit epics of ancient India. The Mahabharata is an epic narrative of the Kurukshetra War and the fates of the Kaurava and the Pandava princes. It also contains philosophical and devotional material, such as a discussion of the four "goals of life" or purusharthas. Mahabharata is one of the longest work of its kind in the world. This epic contain about 110,000 couplets in eighteen sections.these eighteen sections deals with a number of topics. These topics cover a number of aspects of Hinduism, Hindu mythology, ethics, and the Hindu way of life. The Bhagavad gita, a dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna, is also an part of the Mahabharata.
